Outlaw Top Sportsman: Wichita Raceway Park

Thirteen teams rolled into the Wichita Raceway Park for the first and only time this season ready to see who was going to take home the prized sheriff's badge. It was a nice cool and fun night of drag racing. After two rounds of exciting and some what scary qualifying rounds here’s how it all went down.

First Round:

Dave was just a little too quick on the trigger .

W Mike Jones 4.716 at 150.65 (.424rt)
L David Moser 4.787 at 135.95 (.439rt)

Mike was on his game with cutting a good light and making a awesome pass having the low ET, MPH and RT time of the round.

W Melvin Goss 4.721 at 138.85 (.436rt)
L Tommy Keeter 5.411 at 94.70 (.472rt)

Tommy got lose and lifted Melvin made a nice pass.

Eddie came in as an alternate, due to Jerry Cain making a choice to pull out of the race do to having a dead hole and didn’t want to take a chance on hurting his motor. Mat was a bit too quick on the trigger also sending Eddie to the semis.

Semi Finals:

L Mike Jones 4.703 at 151.57 (1.32rt)

For some reason Mike's car just did not want to take off. After whitey finally decided to take off Mike again had the best ET and MPH for the round.

W Melvin Goss 4.745 at 136.65 (.415rt)
L David Baldwin 4.727 at 136.86 (.486rt)

Melvin won this on a holeshot.

Finals

Melvin Goss 4.717 at 145.11 (.419rt)
Eddie Roach 4.816 at 142.36 (.445rt)

Melvin again takes home the sheriffs’ badge back to Sunnyvale! Congrats to Melvin Goss and crew on a outstanding performance at tonight’s race. After that scary second round qualify ride you went on in the Maverick and coming back and winning the race. Congrats the Eddie Roach and the ROG Gang on you runner up performance.
