Woodburn Junior Dragster Event in the Books
With one event remaining, points in the Woodburn Dragstrip JDRL Series are really tightening up, especially in JDRL Fast. Meanwhile, POGO Racing was set to defend their 2008 title in the Annual Club Challenge. Today’s winners include Haley Skerjanec, Kaycee Pitts, Grace Presser, Bryan Santino, Shannon O’Leary, and Casey Miller who emerged victorious in the JDRL ranks. Julie Adams, Richard Mauch, and John Floyd, Jr beat all others in the adult categories.
At this event in 2008, POGO Racing took the win over 9 Second Pizza Club in the first tie-breaker, which is: Does your team have an event champion? Both team s had equal points, but POGO Racing had one champion to earn the 2008 victory. In 2009, there were three teams tied with 9 points, that being POGO Racing, 9 Second Pizza Club, and the J-Team Bandits. To complicate matters even more, each team had one champion, with POGO Racing’s John Floyd, Jr winning Sportsman, 9 Second Pizza Club’s Richard Mauch winning Pro, and J-Team Bandit’s Julie Adams winning Super Pro. The second tie-breaker is: Which team had a runner-up? Only one team did as POGO Racing’s Derrick Jackson was runner-up in Sportsman. Thus the Club Challenge is a repeat from 2008, as POGO Racing has now earned two consecutive Club Challenge victories. Congratulations to John Floyd, Jr., Derrick Jackson, Carl Wilkerson, Stephanie Gross, and Harry Cole for your victory today.
