The transbrake is used to make the chassis hit the tires harder. It releases directly off my releasing the button. So when I say go, it releases.

The throttle controller is a way to make the car leave at the same rpm or at a pre-set rpm so the car will hook on any old track we go to. It was our opinion that by having my foot to the floor, and letting the controller open the throttle that A: it would possibly snap it open faster than I could bury my foot in it. B: it makes the car launch the same each time.
I may have to leave it off, and see how that works during a time run or something. I would be very comfortable without the controller, as I never had one in my Super-gas car. It wouldn't be any different here. Just hit the trans-brake buttong and give it some gas, release and mash the throttle at the same time. I feel that would feel pretty normal to me.
