well not much good news.... it was the hottest day in my history of being at the track i think

even with the tent and gallons of water and POWERade i wasn't feeling to good until the sun went down and had a few tin1's while watching the late rounds.. all day our 60ft times were all over the map.. if it didn't slip or spin it would run a normal predictable et. we know our tires are about done but i think the track temp or greazy had an effect on us as we really don't have enough motor to "overpower" the starting line

. oh well due to the heat there were very short fields in all classed... all the points racers were there but few others.. so they were hot lapping the classes quickly and the coplete program was done by about 10:00pm or so. both of the cutlasses were running engine temps well above our normal comfort zone... just a brutal day i tell ya !! some good news is Bill's new converter really woke his car up running his quickest et's to date even in the conditions we had !! he was in the low-mid 12.20's all day as we were in our hot weather 12.79- 12.85 area.. oh well now the bad news.. we won only 1 round of 4 in eliminations . 1st round of street et. lost 1st round in pro/et and blew $25 to buy back in. lost round 2 in street, then lost round 2 of pro/et and we were done... Bill went a round further in both classes (i think) then is was beer time and the shoulda woulda coulda's bench bs session

all in all we didn't loose much ground in the points as some other top 10 cars also went out early... will report when points are posted.. Bret was there and took some nice shots of the car and he also did some announcing which was fun to hear over the P.A and radio in the van. a guy from the mopar club tore up his car pretty bad after hitting the right wall then powering into the left wall almost head-on... looked bad but he was ok..did i mention it was just too hot to be a human yesterday?!!!
