Billy Mac has left the building! Put his butt on the bus about 6:45. He's headed your way, Jim Sanders! Should be in St. Louis about 12 to 12:30. (I hope) If you're up Mr. Sanders, Billy will be at the St. Louis Greyhound station for a couple of hours!

jeez if he is coming into down town from that direction he will be stuck in traffic for another day!! trying to get home from Gateway last i thought i might as well just put it park, turn on the 4-way flashers and lay down in the back of the van and go ahead and die.... the heat about did me in yesterday... i coldn't make a midnight lap to the bus station tonight if Stacy Bride wanted to kill an hour

Well I had the V-i-d-e-o all loaded & had an error....    I'm in the process of loadin' it again, but I'm runnin' outta' gas. I've got some footage from the big end. We we're a little low on light @ race time, & then there's holdin' a camera steady in Z-O-O-M mode but, all things considered you'll get a taste of the show.

For now just let me say OOOOOOO that wuz' very C-O-O-L. 8) 8) 8) 8)

Great to hear from everyone and glad that Bandit and Billy had some more visiting time. Bandit really went out of his way to go and fetch Billy after Greyhound got him to one connecting bus 15 minutes too late! Bandit drove all the way to Indy to pick up Billy Mac and get him to Eddyville. They rolled up at about midnight on Friday.

I'm really thrilled to hear that Wally won't be stopped next year! He will be a terrific addition to the group... I hope many more members will be able to attend as well.

As for today, we all got up and started the bittersweet activities that ended with our separating and heading back home (or further away from home, as is the case with the Pratts). The hotel breakfast lobby was our central meeting point again and while we didn't completely dominate it as we did on Saturday, our presence was felt! After several extended goodbyes, the Pratt gang hit the road at about 11:30. We are now in Omaha, Nebraska, at the home of Denise's sister Dynell and her husband Trevor. Had a terrific steak (Omaha Steaks  ), pasta salad, corn on the cob, and watermelon dinner, followed by fudge brownies and vanilla ice cream. Awesome. Then it was time antics by four year old Cara and two year old Bethany. Put the girls to bed and then continued a nice visit. Tomorrow, Dynell and the girls will join us in our trek to Denise's parents' house in Colorado, while Trevor stays behind and works, works, works. He's the chief resident at one of the local teaching hospitals and a great guy.

Cruising along Route 80 through Iowa today was an amazing thing. This state is one long, constant upward grade as you go west. The van's cruise control had a hard time maintaining speed on the continual hills and I had to tromp the gas pedal many times. It was a nice, short three hour trip, however, and that was good, because I was still a little bleary eyed after several late night drinks and conversation with Jer and Cheryl. I took our early arrival as a pristine opportunity for a nice two hour nap. Woke up to the steaks! Now, if I can only get the rest of the trip timed out that way...

I need to get the events of July 15 all down and will post that story, but I need to have a little more time to do it. Got one more driving leg tomorrow and then we are solidly in Sterling, Colorado for a week. That will give me some time to get on the computer and get some of my duties done!

Again, a magical weekend. Thanks to all for participating and for checking in on us via the board. This is a special group of people. bp
