That car is so COOL!!! Nicer people you couldn't meet anywhere. Big Mike, Little Mike, and tiny Margie, wonderful people and I had a great time being with them. The car, unbelievable. I will let Mike post how things went, but it sure was fun to watch!

Little Mike, what a great son. I really enjoyed talking shop with him. 8)

I am glad I got to meet you guys!

We enjoyed meeting Mike, Mike, and Margie so much!!!! Super people with a super car!! That car is awesome! If he keeps doing burnouts like that those NEW tires will be toast very soon!! The detail in that car is beautiful. When Larry stands there and drools looking at a car, and he bleeds blue by the way, you know it's one awesome Chevy!! Mike, you did something no one else could do, Larry walked over to me and said,.........that is one beautiful car!! I said, but it's a chevy Larry, he said, I don't care if it is! It's one hell of a car!! I nearly fell over!! Good job Mike!! :D :D
If you think it's exciting now, wait till we start it.

One thing I wasn't countin' on was V-I-D-E-O @ the long end doesn't freeze frame so good. Next time Mike, spoz' you could just stop right there for the pic. ??      There are better shots a few frames later but the 60 turns into a blur.

Yep, I was there when Larry said that...there was kind of a moment of silence...then Lippy continued the conversation...GREAT SHOT, Pro70Z! I heard you were downtrack but I hadn't seen any of these till now! Mike, the Chevy is the bomb, as Senor Bandito said...and you are one hell of a driver! It's an extremely complex system you've got and it can't be like jumping in a convertible and cruising over to the A&W, know what I'm saying? That car is a rodeo of a ride, man. You handle it smooth and fast. It was totally awesome to watch. Cheers, WC1

The story with this clip is sorta' cool ..... well to me anyway. I asked one of the track girls who I needed to talk to, to get a shot from the finish line. She turned around and said I needed to talk to the guy right across the road from our pits sittin' in the golf cart (Track Photographer). I walked over and explained what I had in mind. He said hop in, let's check it out. So, we headed for the big end of the track. On our way there he told me a story of a camaro that had shut down problems once. He pointed off in the distance and said, see those trees way back there on the ridge. Well, he went over the barrier and landed roof first in that clump of trees. And he walked away. We both said, good thing for SFI cages.

We, drove past the fence and up to the left lane barrier at the first turn-off lane. The photographer (I wish I could remember his name, BP help me out) told me where to stand, and where to run in case anything went wrong. I was literally 4-5 ft. off the track behind the end of the barrier. He said just use common sense and don't take any chances. Then we headed for the starting line to get permission from that end. We needed to let them know what I was up to so they didn't think there was a nut on the track. (I know what your thinkin', we won't go into that right now   ). On the way there, I pulled out some pics. I took from the late 70's when Cheryl & I last visited Eddyville. No surprise, he told me who the drivers were and some info. about them. I told him I'd like to write the info on the back of the photos when we had time, but we unforutnately didn't get to that.

Back @ the startin' line, we got the O.K. to take the video, along with a reminder to be safe and not take any chances. They could not have been nicer or more accommodating. What a great group of people at Eddyville Raceway Park for sure. When Mike & Crew headed headed for staging I walked to the end of the track and got this footage. Up close & personal with a 707" Nitrous burner. How cool is that ???
