Hey Mike, I didn't know about the overflow tank. Where does that get plumbed into the tranny?

There is a vent on the top side, usually a push-in plastic tube, it get's attached to that.

Do you mount your cooler up front or?????

Seems like a lot of guys put it up front near the radiator. I am thinking that for my application a small fan might help as well.

I wish I had my other computer I could show you pictures. I mounted mine in front of the radiator but my fans are between it and the radiator so when the fans are running it pulls air thru the cooler as well.

-4AN hose will flow enough, but in reality I'd recommend -6. Don't use Teflon lined hose as it can do funky stuff when hot. Use the normal rubber lined braided hose. As to line pressure/temp stuff... most stuff you'll see in the 175-250 range. More power/heavier car... more line pressure, especially with a Glide. Temp on the line of around 160 is great, and keep it to 200 at the stripe. Sometimes with the ringless input shafts the cooler flow is down a tad bit, and use of a synthetic like Mobil 1 will help drop fluid temp by at least 15*. No need for Type F, use a Dexron/Mercon style fluid. Stall speed alone won't determine heat... how much efficiency the converter has will influence things as well. Some stators will be more efficient downtrack than others, and can have an effect on fluid temp along with pump fin angle used. If anyone has trans questions I'll try my best to answer them for you...

Wow.. Thanks for that reply Transman and welcome to the board.

Hey Mike, did you run synthetic in my tranny or??

I just assumed it was Dexron/Mercon as it was nice and red when it leaked out all over the back of the truck and my parents driveway.
