thanks Randy and john !! yep looking foward to the trip.. Don deserves 90% of the credit for putting together a tight, leak free repeatable machine without any trick of the day parts and requires virtually no serious maintenence between hot laps... just for example.. one guy saturday lost a round because he forgot to pin his hood after franticlly trying to cool his car by spraying water all over it like he does every round causing a flood for us as we pit down stream from him

yep the hood came up.. wont happen on the GatorGumbo.. stock hood and latch. other cars loose because they can't get the battery recharged in time.AGAIN won't happen to us as we run an altenator. other guys break a bunch of stuff and go home.. we can make 20 laps without breaking a sweat

well i sweat alot running back and forth but it's good exercise !! we sure don't set the world on fire regarding et and speed but that wasn't the idea in the first place. It was a father and sons hobby project and next season Don will hand driving duties to his son Dane when he returns from overseas and when Derek gets his liscence he gets to play.I am there for support and great frendships plus i love being at the track and enjoy trying to dial the car and keep some focus on the job at hand. Thanks go to John the Plumber for the weather station, and the use of the van(s) with gas in them and the cash to pay my entry every week, and the race cooler supplies

it sure was a fun points race. would have loved a win but the runner-up deal was cool and i have the photo framed on the wall

A special thanks to Wally for the phone call to Don ! The next report will be after we get home from Indy. We lost first round both previous trips but with the weather station and another season of experience both in the seat on the tree and the finish line games we learned alot so i'm feeling good going up. And with the progress Bill (racer 403) has made and qualifying for the finals having both cars is going to be twice as exciting!! thanks everyone for paying attention to us in the days of 4.40 ets and 340mph televised racing. We will do all we can to put the Draglist sticker on the front fender across the stripe with the win light glowing !!!
