planetary transmissions

Postby stimpy » Wed Sep 06, 2006 1:00 pm

I was doing some thinking ( which can be either dangerous or expensive ) and was looking into transmissions , the cost of building a good solid auto trans is getting up there in price so I also was thinking about clutchless trans's like the lenco, liberty , jericho , are they worth the price? being the car is going to be a little on the portly side , I am looking at durability too . the auto trans in my freinds car has eaten parts over the years and done some strange/costly stuff .and I also like rowing the boat per say . I need some input on this good, bad, ugly of the brands ( I know the first one is price ) safety items like cans and that are not a concern as I still have to have a flexplate sheilds, flexplates and blankets with the auto . and the car can have the clutch pedal added without a problem ( one of the nice things about a stock firewall)

I like the Jeffco (original designers of the lenco)
and the lenco you can pretty much build em in a flash and things aren't hard to comprehend...+ your choice of shift activation is great
