Yes Rock, it starts back at an angle and goes in a couple inches. When I'm in the car it's at the bottom of my ribcage. If I tried to turn or fight the wheel, my elbows hit the bulge and won't let me steer. Moving the steering box won't help. I think the bar will have to be replaced with a straight one, the seat sides flattened out and we could run wheel spacers to kick the tires out a little.
If you think it's exciting now, wait till we start it.

Or just put on some Weld wheels with the correct offset for the car. 8)

:( Lippy please don't run wheel spacers. I value you here on the board too much for that. I don't like spacers for any application street or strip but especially where you are going to punish the wheels.

That's a possibility too Randy.  Leon told me they used to run wheel spacers on fuel funnies for a variety of reasons. He said they wouldn't hurt anything. I don't care for them either, but somehow, I think what he's talking about aren't the VW to chevy adapter kind.

Back in the small block days we ran 1/4 or 1/2 inch. They were just solid steel spacers. Never was a problem, but I didn't like it much. No reason really, just didn't like the idea of it, more than any real reason.

If Leon says it is ok, I am good with it. 8)

Randy, I'm the same way, like in the old street days, the old slotted alum wheels and mags, you had to always check em to make sure they were tight, a good idea anyway, but they tended to come loose more than they should have. With those stupid aluminum spacers, they were dangerous I thought. You know Leon, if it's good for a hundredth he'll do it. Damn Steve, full speed ahead!!  Just kidding!! Nothing will go on the car without passing the Rapid, Super Lippy, Leon X-Ray and scrutiny test!!!! I am very fortunate to have people around me who care about my well being. We feel the same way about you and all our racings friends. That's cool right there! :D Makes a guy feel pretty darn good!!!
