I've run wheel spacers in the past. I believe Lawson ran them on one of his Alky cars. It's not the best way to go but it never bothered me. Not sure if they were 3/8 or 1/2 inch thick.

This was before Larry and I teamed up, That's pie eatin larry in the chair, and a friend of ours standing there. That car still holds the track record at Kearney Neb for a nitro flathead!! :D :D
