I probably wouldn't start there with a steel block. You need it to be in 20-25% range to start off I would guess.

You can run boost into the high 20's as far as boost numbers go. It will last longer if you stay under 25-lbs of boost in my opinion.

Vic, I was running 43% on my 468 motor and ran 7.50's. My blower is quite worn and probably could use a rebuild, or at the least, new stripping.

I would strongly suggest you get ahold of SFI and get the spec sheets for what chassis cert you want. I'm guessing you will want the 10.1E spec witch is good for advanced ET to 6.00. I git mine in Nov. of 2005 and it was $37.00 including shipping and handling.

The one area I would be concerned about is the diagonal from the rear end upright. I see you have a single bar there. Although that is OK for the SFI, once you start making power it will give you problems.
Somes friends of mine had a car like that and Murf McKinney told them what I just said and they actually broke the rear end housing on their car. They had it changed, not sure if they went to a K or an X design, but they didn't have any more problems with it.
Good luck with it.

COOL THANKS FOR THE INSIGHT ON THE TUBES,...
I notice the starter cage is extremly close to the blower belt
on the top pulley, i mean millameters,..
guess a will go with a 37 or 38 lower pulley for 25-26 % over.

I keep forgetting you have a smaller blower. I have always had 1471's. Rocky, probably has a better handle on that than I do.

For the price of the pulleys, I would start easy, then move up. The steel blocks will like more overdrive than timing, JMO

Great pics, Vic! I went ahead and put headlights on it, a grille, etc. also did some more to the paint job...let me know if this is good or if it needs to change...I like the car better with pine trees behind it rather than palm trees...Cheers, WC1
