Thanks for posting the pics wheelz! So that's where that slobber came from? ;) It was good to see wheelz again - although I didn't recognize him at first :oops:

It was a pretty good show - a lot of people all 3 days.

The top turned out pretty good - what do you guys think? I like it better than the old diamond pleated one.

Now I get to pull it all back apart and put it together for real :roll:

Got the short block apart this weekend and threw all the 392 stuff into a big box to be sorted out later. Dropped a couple of sleeves into the block and test fit the new rods. For once some good news... The block is already clearanced for the stroker, so no grinding is required.

The new rods fit with adequate side clearance. I was concerned because the rods they finally sent me had a wider pin end than my old ones. Since 392 rods have a .060 offset in them, and these were straight, I was afraid that they'd be too close to the side of the piston. Turns out that they're just ok.

The crank's getting dropped off at the machine shop this afternoon for balancing.
