Rick Sherrill from Oklahoma who raced the fuel funny car called "Southern Shaker" passed away April 13th. Rest in peace my friend.

Rick Sherrell is another low buck guy who gave it a heck of a shot in nitro funny car racing. I'm sure he qualified at a few NHRA shows in late 80s or early 90s. Rick raced nitro funny cars from 1986 to 1996, adding much needed spice to shows that were steadily marching toward corporate billboard fests. RIP, Rick, and thanks for the memories. bp
