will it never end....

I got a call from the crank shop where I sent my crank to be balanced. They measured the journals (just for the heck of it because all I told them to do was to balance it..), and one of them was +.001. It turns out that its the journal that was repaired. Apparently they didn't grind it down quite far enough after they welded it up.

It's a good thing they caught it, but it's adding another week for them to grind it down .004 before they balance it. :x

I think I've got everything else I need - finally - except for a few fittings here and there, so it's about ready to go together for real.

I got me one of those 3 qt accumulators, so we'll see if that helps the oiling situation. Unfortunately the thing's not small - it might be fun finding a place to mount it.

I also got a handy dandy starting line control so that I can actually use that button marked 'trans brake' to launch the car  I need to find a place to mount the air bottle for that.

My back is finally to the point that I can move around somewhat normally - I guess I'd better get out there and get something done...

yeah yeah - that's why I've got aluminum heads - right? ;)

Don't worry - I'm definately not lifting anything bigger than a loaf of bread in the near future if I can help it.

How are you doing mister Lippy? better I hope!
