I have been slacking on my updates. We fired the engine and that went great. It started right up and sounds like it ought to. I was pleased as I had changed a few things in the fuel system. It was nice and fat which is how I had it set, so it was a Good Guess when I did it.

We have a couple of small things to finish up. We are going to fire it up again tomorrow night at racecar night. If it all checks out, we are going to Eddyville for a couple of test runs this Saturday.

Here are some of the latest photos.

looking good rapid, how is the visibility? that top pic makes it look like the top of the windshield frame would be right in the way, i'm sure you could drive it blindfolded, but i was just curios.
the police never think it's as funny as i do

I asked him about that on the phone the other day...he said...."I close my eyes when I hit the loud pedal anyway, so it doesn't matter"......(or something to that effect, anywho  ...)
