In the pits.

Excellent ,Bake!Took three hits and some serious changes in what "It SHOULD Like."
The new Nitro Madness is going to be a player!! The laziest weak suck tune-up in the land, resulted in a 4.24 using all the slippery lane available!!
Track temp was 135-degrees,,,and lets play nice and say it was less than good traction available!![]()
About 1/2 track she started to mutter something to me. I said, "Look here baby, I am driving and IF you think I am taking my foot off your throat until sometime past the finish line,,,you are sadly mistaken. Now get on down thru here and show these people what you are made of!" I guess she believed me, as even though we took up a bunch of track surface, we skated across the finish line without getting any cones. It was nip and tuck for the finish line cones though!![]()
I didn't think it would be anything too great, probably a 4.55-4.70-ish with all that driving around. I was astounded when I saw the time slip.
Anybody care to guess at the 60-foot on that run???? The normal in the last 2-years was 1.05-1.08, we ended up with a 1.01 and a 1.02 late last year. The third pass on this car it went .996 to the 60-foot timers!!
Yeah, I am pretty pleased with my guys, Scott's fab skills and our new Hot Rod!!![]()

Great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!As the other member of this board who lives in the Eddyville area, I found out about the Nitro Madness test runs after another commitment was made.
My friend Bob Betzer, who now owns the speed shop here in town went 6.80 on his first full pass in 20 years. Then he went 3 rounds before a red light got him. He told me Randy did a heck of a job on the 4.24 pass.
