Hi everyone. I just got back to the house. We had an interesting weekend. Sat,,,not so good interesting. Then Sunday Killer!! interesting.

We ran Ted Elrod all four runs. He has an altered with one of Vern Moat's engines in it.

Sat, instead of just marching down the track with our weak tune-up in it, my new ride though it would be really fun to shake Ol' Rapid's brains out. The first round, right after the hit about 20-feet out. I got out of it, rattled around for a while. When it was done with it's hissy fit, I shifted both cases, and stuck my foot back it it. The darn thing ran 189-mph from just coasting to around the 1/8 mile cones.

2nd round, it made it 60-80 feet before the shake, I practically had it parked at the 330 foot cone, same routine, I threw both gears at it and layed into her. She responded with a 210-mph run at only 7.12 or something ET! Our record MPH from the old car was 211 with a full 1/4 mile run to get there. This thing just ran 210 with no timing and a fat lazy tune-up!!

It shook so bad on the first run, it almost tore the wing off. I decided it would make it 1-more run, but the rest of the team didn't think it would make it too far past the 60-foot cone before it fell off the car on the 2nd run.

Sunday we tired something different and were rewarded with new record runs both times. Rt lane 1st round it went 6.45 @217 mph!!!!

2-hours later in the left lane it went 6.45 again but 211 mph!

Hard to believe it was the same car from the day before! This was the short update as I am too tired to type a long one tonight!!

Thanks for checking in,

Rapid :D

Rapid,
Is it true that after that first launch you briefly glanced down at the gloves, counted all 13 fingers  ...and decided to just stay with it :?
Sounds like with a couple early.40s in the bank you have a lot to be excited about.
Congrats
