The Saga Continues

Well we get to the track get everything unloaded, check valve lash, lube the valve train etc!
We start the car, check the trans IT works finally, check the lenco automatic shifter good to go.
We are finally on our way to making our first pass with the car, all right. 8)
Drag the car up to the starting line, I go to start the car, it won't start, try again still no luck, WTH
we go back to our pit put the car up on the stands, the only thing we did was change the rev limiter chip & change oil
so I pull the chip out & try and start the car again, still won't start Argg..... OK now what!!!!
I check the mag kill switch & solenoid from msd it works I can hear it, well just because it works doesn't mean the contacts aren't welded together. So I remove the mag kill wires from the coil. Presto that was the problem, motor fires right up..
So we head back to the starting line, I start the car, check the car over for leaks etc!, I wave Steve forward to pull into the burnout box, do our burnout, the car is finally on the track (cool)
Well our reverser problems rear there ugly head again, the car won't go in reverse to back up @#!*&% won't shift into forward either, more of @!#$*& shut the car off and drag it back to the pits..
Start checking the car over, I didn't do it on the track because the motor was getting to hot, the reverser cable is bent.
As I said before & to Steve, one step at a time. I intended on making a few more steps than we got to do yesterday but we are getting there.
New cable will be ordered on Monday and I have more things to fix on the Lenco. So if everything works out we will be back on the track next weekend.
Hopefully all of the glitches will be solved and we can get Steve’s license upgraded to Advance ET.
So tune in next weekend and hopefully I'll have some great news to report.

Thanks for reading my tales.
