TheMusic.Com/The Who TA/FC Team
Produces Career Best Numbers in Norwalk

The Music.Com/The Who 2007 Top Alcohol Team of Nancy Matter competed at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals in Norwalk, Ohio this pass weekend. The team's outing produced positive results moving them to their career best mile an hour and qualifying them in the fifteenth position for their second national event outing in a row of the 2007 racing season.

"We're still learning more and more about our fuel system and it's really starting to come together" notes Matter. "Our team has really been working hard and making sure that all the preparations are complete in the shop prior to loading the car to leave, when we were just shy of 249 mile an hour on our first pass, my team told me they were so happy and they went crazy on the starting line as if we'd just won the event".

Matter's team was paired with a very good team first round. Both driver's had great reaction times and although Matter came up short, she was catching her opponent at the top end very quickly. "About eleven hundred foot I noticed that the gap between Von's car and ours was closing up and I thought either we were on a heck of a pass or something happened and I'm not sure of what broke on their car, but there was only about a car length and a half that separated us at the stripe".

"We still have a long way to go to be running in the 50's and 60's, but at least there is light at the end of the tunnel now. Hopefully, our first round win is just around the corner".

The Music.Com/The Who 2007 Top Alcohol Team will be heading out to compete four weekends in a row beginning in August, 2007.

I was looking for you in the pits Nancy but missed you - where were you pitted at? I wandered down around Manzo and Newberry then it looked like we were getting into super and comp cars so we didn't wander any further.
