The Night Shift

Here's where we go to kick back after the races with our pals. Pour a tall one, punch a few buttons on the jukebox, and relax...

Great to get a genuine JTP post! That's cool (no pun intended) that you got the Marshall amp fixed...they're great amps, but they're human <g> and they need fixing sometimes. I'm upgrading my computer at this time to accommodate the ProTools system I just got Sunday, I have to get another GB of ram and the latest OS for my Mac, but other than that except for some headphones, we're just about ready to give it a spin. Danny, thanks for that info. I'll be in touch...maybe next time we'll team up on that trip with Billy and Doc. Life is good. WC1

I was reading about this lately, too. What the article was saying is that the airlines do not categorize the on time performance of their flights correctly and as a result, the problem is much, much worse than the statistics dictate. One of the big problems is that the online ticket sites are helping the airlines to FILL most of their planes. As a result, there is much less flexibility than there used to be to get folks onto later flights. bp

It was just the damndest thing...
I guess I should say that something I learned from this is if you're taking a flight to another city and it's important, have a secondary plan ready to be activated in case the airline flakes out on you. That probably seems like a lot of unnecessary hassle, but right when you would least expect to lose your flight, they'll do it to you and cut off all communication with you from that point on. Just keep your cool and step out of that deal into the next one you had ready if this happened. It does harm if you get mad at them. I didn't know they were talking about this on the news, but I suppose I was just one of thousands of people who got their trips ended halfway to their destinations by the airlines lately. "What a revoltin' development this is!" WC1
PS: I booked my flight online a month in advance.

And I just heard it on the news, too... fully one third of all US flights were delayed in June. bp

yea WC.... JTP Stops by at least once a week and he ALWAYS reads this thread.... i traded chairs with him and said go ahead and type away whilst i go to the fridge for a couple cold miller lites, check out his family van for an up coming trip to the lake and told him to hit the submit button when he was done... you guys together could talk music/tech for weeks and never cover everything !! I'm just happy to be in the middle of it all 8)

Thanks, Doc. He's a great guy and a knowledgeable and experienced musician as well as an associate sponsor of the GG/JTP Cutlass.
