Chain-smoking, laughing and easy-going host of "The Tomorrow Show" back in the day. His interview with Charles Manson was a classic..."Now, come on down off of the Space Shuttle, Charles! HAHAHAHAHA..." RIP, Tom, and thanks. WC1

Lotsa times I stayed up just to see his show. I loved Johnny Carson and crew, (Tommy Newsom was my favorite Tonight Show guy...more on him some other day) but I often leaned towards Dick Cavett's style back then, like I dig Nightline followed by Jimmy Kimmel now, then Conan O'Brien. Conan is a decent guitar player. But I'm derailing Tom Snyder's thread...he'd appreciate that...and yes, BP, Dan Aykroyd did the greatest Tom Snyder around...WC1
