Nancy Matter Returns to Racing in Brainerd

Postby F/C Girl » Thu Aug 09, 2007 1:04 am

The Top Alcohol Funny Car Team of Nancy Matter returns to racing action this weekend in central Minnesota for the 26th Annual Lucas Oil Nationals at Brainerd International Raceway. Matter's team is more than ready to get back out for competition at the 16th of 23 NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series events.

Currently, the team is tied for 8th in Division 4. The next five weeks will incorporate two division races along with three national events in a tough racing schedule, but a schedule that the team is prepared for. "We're really hoping to step up quite a bit within the Lucas Oil Division 4 point standings and add to our National Points standings as well. Maybe, just maybe, with a little lady luck on our side, we'll get some round wins too" notes Matter.

Matter adds "It's a true blessing to be able to combine Drag Racing and Music together. I've been fortunate enough to have an extremely supportive crew thats worked nonstop on the car over the last 6 weeks while I've been handling the business side of the car, and working in the Studio sweetening, preparing and shipping the final two disc concert series masters of more than seventy European Concert Performances of Genesis, Peter Gabriel and the final shows for The Who to CD Manufacturing available only through www.TheMusic.com".

Nancy dedicates her teams running of the Lucas Oil Nationals in Brainerd to Kaylee Greer, a young girl who was injured on her first and only lap in her Jr. Dragster.

NMR welcomes their newest Associate Sponsor, Team Dirty Girls of Southern California.

Nancy would like to thank the following: Jeremy Mitchell, Chris and Melissa Colllins, Tom Conway, Ryan and Jamie Matter, Michael Hobson and Nick Johnson at TheMusic.com, The Who, Terri Tolmack of Team Dirty Girls, Charles West of Angus Asphalt, Kelly Zirbes, Clint Thompson, Troy Jordan, Lee Callaway, Monarch Products, Valvoline, NGK, Hoosier, B&J Transmissions, Parks Engine Service, and VP Fuels.
