Nancy Matter Dallas Wrap Up

Postby F/C Girl » Mon Sep 24, 2007 8:04 pm

I'm really posting this so you guys have the times of the sportsman coverage. I'm doing a genesis concert right now, and have a little time in between and since it's short, figured, git R done. :-)

Take care,
Nancy

F/C DRIVER NANCY MATTER JUST MISSES STOUT DALLAS FIELD

Although the team of Nancy Matter and TheMusic.com/The Who Top Alcohol Funny Car Team narrowly missed the field this weekend in Dallas, the team feels they made another leap forward in their fuel system that got them back on track in the hot weather and will greatly benefit them in the future.

"We got behind after the second qualifier when the car just didn't want to stand up on the tire. We're really thankful to Clint Thompson for spending time with us on Friday night in Dallas and working us through a more in depth tutorial on our fuel system" states Matter. "When the Safari guys told me we missed by three thousandths, I felt bad for our team, but also know that collaboratively, we made the right decision moving us in the correct direction for the future".

The Lucas Oil Sportsman Coverage of the Dallas event will air on September 30th, 2007 at 12:00 to 1:00 PM Eastern Time. Sometime during that coverage, viewers can catch a small interview clip by Dennis Taylor with Nancy that was done in Dallas by ESPN2 early Saturday Morning.

Matter's team will have the next few weeks off to regroup for their final three races of the year. Their next competition will be in Noble, Oklahoma for the last event in the South Central Division 4 Lucas Oil Sportsman Series.

Sorry your team missed by only .003! That run (5.814) was run on a 129 degree track, great tuning job! Best of luck and safe racing at Noble.
