Wow... RIP, Boyd. One of the guys who brought hot rodding mainstream. I flew into Indy or LA or somewhere a few years ago. Saw a limo driver holding up a sign with Boyd's name on it. I asked the guy if he knew who he was picking up and he said no. I filled him in a little bit on his prospective fare. Hot rods in heaven are gonna be slippery from now on. bp

I just read this here.What a surprise.He was up here at a caah show last year.When I introduced myself he gave a big grin"Great to meet another Boyd,I thought I was the only one".I've only met three,sadly now it's two

One of the truly elite, a great artist and hot rodding genius. Controversial at times, but he stuck to his guns. His cars reveal the soul of a beautiful human being. So sorry to lose him at such an early age. Great story, T. True, there aren't a lot of Boyds, but we're lucky to have one of them here! RIP Mr. Coddington. By the way, I'd like to place my order in advance. Have your people call my people. Leave a message for me. I plan to be there in 42 years. WC1
