Jim Paoli passed away yesterday. Jim had some serious health issues and took his own life. Jim drove the Ramchargers Demon F/C for a short while and then built his own funny cars named the "Yankee Pack Rat"

Sorry to hear this. I always liked that Vega. A hard running car. We just lost Pat Foster, too, and that reminds me of one of my memories as a kid. I remember watching an IHRA National Event on TV as a kid with Foster in the Setzer car and Paoli in the Packrat in the final. This guy is toast, I thought, as he lined up against the red terror. But Paoli pulled it out with both cars going 6.50s. Beating the Foster/Setzer deal in the final of any national event was a hell of an accomplishment. RIP, Jim. You were admired.
