I really liked his work in the 60s and 70s. Did a lot of great sci fi stuff. Planet of the Apes was excellent and he was great in Soylent Green, too. Farewell, Chuck. bp

"The Ten Commandments" and "Ben-Hur" were great, as well as the movies BP mentioned, but my all-time favorite Charlton Heston movie was "El Cid". He was a great actor, and a great American. Thanks, Chas, and may you rest in peace. WC1
