Morning all - just got back from a soggy weekend at the CFSC Extreme Drag Race Shootout. Would you believe Rod Saboury drove that awesome Corvette around Miramichi, New Brunswick for a couple hours in the rain on Friday? Friday evening the rain let up enough for some time trials, Saturday was a total loss since it poured rain all day and night and Sunday didn't look a whole lot better till noon. They got it dried up enough for a qualifying session for all the classes but when the first pair in the first round of the World's Fastest Street Car Challenge passed through the traps the rains came back and ended everyone's day. Eliminations were rescheduled for today(Monday) but we decided to head back home since today's forecast sucked. Early reports today from the track say the weather is even worse and it doesn't look like the event will happen at all(final decision at noon today). It was worse for Andy Frost(below) - he came all the way from England for a shot at the title.

I've got three camera cards full myself and my three "official" photographers here at Maritime Drag Racing shot thousands of pics each so I'm sure we'll be able to put together some kind of report through the week. Hopefully I'll find some free time to put it all together since I got a zillion things to do this week including a Wednesday Test and Tune session at Cape Breton Dragway.
