On Sunday afternoon, September 14th, Pro Modified racer Steve Engel succumbed to his injuries suffered at Indy.

What a shock to wake up and read this devastating news. This is so sad to hear. My condolences to his family and may you rest in peace Steve, you'll be missed.

:cry: So Sorry about this. Too many deaths. I am beginning to wonder if racing is worth it. :roll: It gives me pause anymore. :?

:o :shock: Never thought I would hear myself say that :?: :shock:

I guess I am getting old and see life more valuable lately. :?

I know I would have not wanted to missed the last 20 + years.

To see my daughter married. Experiance my grand kids. See my 18 year old grandson take the field in his first college football game last week. etc. 8)

I crashed 4 times in my 40 years racing. I was very very lucky. Especially the one in 1975. :shock:
It has been quite a ride!
