Thanks Wheelz'. And your right, I do consider that a pretty high compliment coming from Lippy. Thanks.

It's a little thing but I did some work on the "Z" tonight. I glassed the glove box door on the dash.
Image

The door is thin & I was worried the edges might get bumped & crack. So, I taped it off, dumped some more of that kitty hair stuff behind the door & shoved a plug in the goop. When it started to set up I trimmed the excess & pulled the plug.
Image

Not a big deal but it but it makes it look a little more beefy. A little finish work & nobudie' will ever know there is an icebox in dare;. :wink:

Kinda' has that "Door Ajar" LQQK. :lol: That's a closed as it gonna' get. :wink:

I get a few minutes here and there. I used my last window of opportunity to clean up all the overlapping layers & protruding tabs on the glove box back side & give it a couple reinforcing layers of cloth.

Image

Little more cleaning up on the front. Got a few spots to touch up around the glove box, dash bezel opening & the steering column & then it's ready for primer.

Once the dash is done I 'hink I'll pull the engine & start rebuilding the firewall.
Or I might reroute #2 header tube away from the main rail. I notched the frame rail for clearance, and it's been buggin' me ever since I did it. I 'hink I'm going to move #2 out of the way and get the header recoated, then repair the notch in the rail. It would work this way, but it's gonna drive me nuts if I don't fix it right.
Yup I think I'll do the header first so I have that deal out of the way, then on to the firewall.

Slow process but I'll keep pluggin' away when I can.

{Sure is a long post for a minimal amount of progress :wink: :? }

Great job on the 'box and a great call on the header/frame rail issue, ProZ. I agree. Stuff drives me nuts if I don't do it right and I know how it should have been done. You'll be completely confident in your work in the long run by going through with this plan. Hats off to you, WC1
