Thanks, Y'all. Last night was my final class for Blue Monday, an introduction to Blues Guitar. I had Bill come out from the Citykings and we ran down 5 songs for the class of the blues we "used to do" but still have in our arsenal. Bill turned out to be a popular guy with the class, his shy ways notwithstanding, and he hung out with them until everybody had gone home. I brought a coffee cake with a little plastic baby in it and whoever got the baby would be the greatest guitar player who ever lived. Sabrina Vincent got the baby. She worked hard, too! The evaluation forms they all filled out were great; next up is the songwriting and performance course. Half of the blues guitar class has already signed up for it. This class was way over the limit...it was completely sold out with a waiting line after standing-room only...A couple of things really made my day...Bill pulled me aside after the class and told me flat-out that he was extremely impressed with what I was doing. He said he wished he had signed up for the whole 6 weeks. This is BILL GIBSON telling me this, man. I was humbled and I thanked him for coming out and playing and for being such a good friend and partner. He asked me for the jpegs I made of all my notes and charts because he said he will learn stuff from them that he always wanted me to teach him. I will send 'em. Then when I got home today, there was this email from Pam, who was one of the students and she bought a copy of "Four Lifetimes" right before she left last night. She's signing her son up to take my course this summer...Life is good, and it's getting better all the time...Cheers, WC1
Dear John,
The CD is amazing ! It is rare to find a CD that the entire family likes and my family LOVES the CD. My husband, 7 year old daughter, 13 year old son all wanted to hear it again this morning. I think it will be an all time family hit. They were dancing around and singing.
I have already played along to America with my electric guitar. What are your plans for promoting it ? Are there radio stations that will play anything other than the few songs that they are forced to promote ? We think it would have wide appeal.
Sincerely,
Pam White
