Rapid, your style of story writing is like really being there with you. It is always a pleasure to read your adventures. Wish things would have been perfect for you guys, but it was the first time out this year...bound to have a glitch here and there...I look forward to reading your stories from these outings, and once the season starts, y'all will be right in the thick of it again. Cheers, WC1

Glad all is ok Randy, would have been nice to have had a prepped track. Gave ya a chance to shake the dust off everything anyway. Oh yeah, got all kinds of oil pressure now,
If you think it's exciting now, wait till we start it.

the chutes can make you crazy for sure.....
the fellows at the end " helping" often cause some frustration
We used all of them..Stroud,Simpson,Chute Metal
I loved Chute Metal......

Wally,

You hit it right on the head. The guys down there try to help, but man can they make a mess of the lines if they aren't careful.

My guys the 1st couple of times had them looking like a train wreck. After I explained why it made a difference how they were wrapped it has been good ever since.

I can't get back in my car without the ladder deal. So I just stay in the car for the tow back. I unbuckle, take off my helmet, jacket, gloves etc. Then just wait on the guys to show up. If it isn't busy down there I tell the fire crew my guys can get the chutes. Sometimes it is getting busy and they need to get them out of the way though.

Being the chute person on our car, I found if you undo them just the way you take them off, it makes things go alot smoother. Sometimes the turnaround personnel don't stop to think how a little twist can cause a nightmare back in the pits.

I was looking over last years run logs. Maybe this was a good omen. We started off with the same kind of runs at Eddyville last year on the first outing. Look how last year turned out!!!

That is my theory and I am sticking to it!!

I need a little joy to take to Tulsa in 2-weeks to race the fastest guys around, and us without any completed runs in 2006!
