Perry, Wheelz and Billy said exactly what I would have said, Don! You've got everything you need to do this and keep your street Golf as well. Why be normal? Just do it! Cheers, WC1

PS: That Opel is very cool...I have a buddy on another site that got a '58 coupe last month from a guy in Missouri. It looked like a mini-55 Chevy. They are great cars...
This is a '56 Nomad and the Opel.

A guy on the HAMB from the left coast put this one together. It's got a tube chassis and tubs under it.

Well, the s**t has hit the fan now. I posted that pic on Facebook(big mistake) and the phone hasn't stopped ringing ever since. All my friends, family and even my better half is of the opinion we HAVE TO do this. Way to go 'Cat - in one fell swoop you've convinced all the people who have any influence over me to suggest I should actually build this oddball combination. I guess all I can say to these people now is "grab a sawzall and let's get to work".

:D 8)   :P
I had more fun doing that than I've had on anything else I've worked on in the last month...your idea is a snap, Don...it makes perfect sense...seems to me that if the graphics went this quick and fell right into place, then the build will probably be similar but in a far larger context...it'd pretty much be an assembly, but maybe getting a perfect fit with the body might be a little difficult...not to mention tin work...I bet we could get Billy to do that...it's easy for me to do this and then you guys get the KP detail, but if I was there I'd be out there with a sawzall right now! I hope you guys do it and I hope it goes smooth! This is a great idea. Like Perry said, it's stuff like this that makes our sport interesting as well as challenging. If you need anything changed on the graphic, let me know...Cheers, WC1
