You could wet sand it now til they show through & then give it a clear coat. Call it a fossil paint job.

I posted earlier but looks like I forgot to send

work has been a bear this last week and a job I thought would take a day ended up taking 2.

I had ordered some 2" dropped spindles for the Nova :D and when they arrived I found they would not work with my custom steering arms  , so I called the company back and they said i could return them this was after we had gone around the block :? :? as to why they would not fit basically because my steering arms are bolted on from the front and not the back like the factory ones, :?
there was no way the bolts would clear the brake rotors, :o :x :x after e mailing a couple fellow Nova friends :D :) a solution arose which meant drilling out the bolt holes to accept the steering arm threads and then using some countersunk bolts easy right     !!!!!!!!!!
2 unibits ,1 3/4" countersink bit and a lot of grumbling and moaning from me and the drill :x :x :x :x :x :x :x we finally got through only to find that I really need a 1" countersink bit  :? :? these spindles are cast so it was a *********** :? :( :o   :x to work on them with only home equipment
anyway its done and a friend said he can make me some chromoly ones if i want them as these are a bit heavier than stock oh well who said life is easy

Had a good day today
Finally got my shifter to shift like it should it was always a bit notchy so I spent couple hours realigning the cable and adjustment and now it feels real slick
also bled my brakes through with new high temp fluid and checked the
line lok works a dream.
Going to start body work prep and repair hoping to have it ready for paint by months end
also looking for a 60s-70s style name for the car thinking
"Royz Novaz" in Gold on Black in a slightly curved orientation might look good any ideas welcome
