I was able to find a couple of pictures to see if they jogged anybodys memory. I talked to my dad and he told me the car was originally built in New Orleans, and the shop that made the body burned down right after his was built(last one the shop made). It then made its way to Minnesota before landing in my fathers hands back in the 80's. Here are the two pictures that I have of it. Also, another thing that stood out about the whole package was the trailer. You can see it in the background of one of the pictures, it had glass sides so you could see the car when it was in the trailer.great topic Bluestreak !! i have only seen a few cheeta cars pics.. best of luck !!
yeah, i talked to my dad and hes had a conversation with him before. my dad had looked for info on the car before, and ran an ad in Hot Rod, which is how he was able to get a hold of Ronnie. The history of the car is pretty cool. now if only i could figure out where it is now......THIS RACECAR,AT ONE TIME, BELONGED, TO RONNIE TOMENTO, WHO OWNED TOMENTO'S BOAT MART IN MARRERO, LOUISIANA. HE USED TO RACE AT THE OLD LAPLACE AND SOUTHLAND DRAGWAYS BACY IN THE 1970S. SAL
