When the Cowboys had a wide receiver named Golden Richards, Dandy Don used to say "Goooooolden Richards!" We have a discount steak restaurant around here called the Golden Corral...I always say "There's the Goooooolden Corral!"...always think about Dandy Don...he handled Howard better than any of them! Great Quarterback...also an intensely private man, family man and good guy. Rest in peace, Don! WC1

Don Meredith was born and raised in Mt Vernon, TX only 20 miles from me. A true original in many aspects and a survivor of childhood polio. Dandy Don stories are many and funny. Quoating Don "Turn out the lights the party over" God bless and RIP.
