Mickey Spillane

A great American 20th century writer (some would disagree, just my opinion). He created a world of imagery and ethos that I always wanted to live in, at least as one of his characters. I can hear the background music (by Mancini) to a classic scene right now...having just been in some all-night downtown scenes, I thought to myself in Oklahoma City at 2AM "Was that Mickey Spillane I just saw in the shadows over there?"
Thanks for the dreams, Mickey. WC1

His characters launched an entire genre and more than a few acting careers. Great stuff. See ya, Mick. bp
