Desperately Seeking (5)

I am attaching a scanned copy of the cover of Drag News, Volume 11, Number 8, dated July 3, 1965. The Chevy in the far lane was mine and also was the original Hayden Profitt/Bill Thomas Cone Chevrolet car. The second is my '65 Falcon, built by Hubert Platt. The picture was in AHRA's March/April issue of Tach Magazine. If anyone has or knows of either of these for sale, I would like to buy them. I am interested in any other photos, posters, etc. that have these cars on them. Thanks, Tommy

I am trying to find photos, magazine articles, or any information on the BRIGGS CHEVROLET sponsored 1970 SS/EA Chevelle SS 454 Convertible. This famous Super Stocker was tuned and prepared by TRUPPI-KLING COMPETITION and driven by RAY ALLEN to a Super Stock championship in 1970. It also held the record in SS/EA for some time. This car was based in New Jersey and would have raced at RACEWAY PARK in ENGLISHTOWN as well as most national events throughout the US. I would love to hear from anyone who has seen or heard of this great Chevelle Super Stocker. I think the Chevelle was either dark green or dark blue with white stripes and convertible top. Thanks, Kevin Biermann, 113 Iris Dr., Neptune, NJ 07753. Phone 732-922-4458

Hey, I need some help finding and old and dear friend. In my younger days, I used to pit crew for Doug Rose and his Green Mamba Jet Dragster while he was in Florida (my old home). I took a wrong turn on the road of life and lost touch with Doug. The good news is I am fine and about to get a masters degree. I sure would like to catch up with my old friend -- he was a true friend. If anyone can help, please contact me at (334) 252-1186 or email cwatts@tallassee.net. Many thanks for your help.

Chris Stinson's Dream Weaver AMX Funny Car

I'm looking for this car, the Dream Weaver AMX Funny Car -- formerly the Glass Rat. I owned it in the late '70s through mid '80s. Chris Stinson
