Free Drag Racing PC Game!

The Match Race Madness "announcer screen" display.

Flash! Check out another online drag racing game HERE!

Last updated in April 2003... Sorry, we are working on a new online version but it's going be a while before we get it out... this one still works, but the drivers and performances are seven years old.

Is it really free? YES! Thousands of drag racing fans have received a FREE, fully functional Match Race Madness (MRM) drag racing simulation game! You can download it right here!

Sorry, the game won't work on Macintosh machines and may not work on Windows NT machines. BUT it has been tested successfully on Windows 3.1, 95, 98, ME, 2000, and XP!

What's MRM about?

Take on Larry Dixon, John Force, Jeg Coughlin, Shannon Jenkins, or anyone! We've updated the MRM computer fantasy simulation with over 2,000 cars and stars of the current drag racing season! MRM lets you create and field a "dream car" in the class of your choice to race against buddies or against any of the world's pro, semipro, exhibition, and quick sportsman racers.

Race at the national or divisional level at 300 quarter- or eighth-mile drag strips around the world. Completely authentic racer performances, track records, world records, and performance characteristics for each drag racing class. Extensive on-line help. Works on any IBM-compatible PC with 640K RAM.

NOTE: Not recommended for children under 12. MRM is not an arcade game. It is NOT a game like Burnout or Tantrum's NHRA game. It contains no graphics. Think of it as "fantasy league football for drag racing fans." It's fun, but you need some imagination and knowledge of the sport to get the most of out of it. Sorry, MACs are not supported and it may not work on Windows NT.

How do I get MRM?

Follow these easy steps to get your free Match Race Madness computer simulation! Read each step COMPLETELY before clicking on the link!

You can use Windows Explorer to see this by clicking START, Programs, Windows Explorer. If the MRM.ZIP and PKUNZIP.EXE files are not in the C:\MADNESS directory, go back to step one and start over.

5. Click on the Windows START button, and click on RUN. In the OPEN box, type the following: C:\MADNESS\PKUNZIP MRM (you can just copy and paste it from here). Then click OK. A DOS box will appear and the Match Madness files will unzip. Close the DOS box by clicking the X in the upper right hand corner. You are ready to play!

Press F2 at any time during the game to get help for the screen you are on.

Press F3 to change your configuration settings.

Press Alt-S to toggle the sound on and off.

NOTE: A problem has been identified where MRM won't run from the DOS prompt on some older 386- or 486-type machines. The error message "not enough memory" is generated although ample memory actually exists to run the game. You can bypass the problem by running MRM from within Microsoft Windows. No problems have been experienced in this environment. MRM will not run on Mac machines and may not run on Windows NT machines. BUT, it has been tested successfully on Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, and XP!
