It's really great to see the best FREE DRAG RACING WEBSITE up and running again
-- and you can quote me on that.
Here's another Movie for you. (NO SOUND)
It's Bill Weichelt (USAF) at the wheel of "Asmodeus" AA/GD (ex-Dos Palmos Machine Shop Special) putting in a
smoky pass at the 1971 National Drag Racing Club Hot Wheels Championship held at Royal Air Force North Luffenham, Leicestershire, England to commemorate the station's 30th Anniversary. When Bill Weichelt returned to the USA he took the little Gas Dragster with him. Where is it now?
In 1971, the National Drag Racing Club didn't have a permanent drag, so they held meetings at various airfields throughout the country, such as Blackbushe, Elvington, Wroughton, etc.
