October 30, 2000 -- Site updates! You'll notice a slightly different format at draglist.com starting this week. Here is a rundown on the new features:

Updated Site Search button. If you look below the logo on each page, we have redone our search button. It has come to our attention that some folks didn't realize we had the capability to search the entire 800 pages of draglist.com. We hope the new button will remedy that. Just click on it and you'll be taken to our search form.

Updated Site Updates button. We also moved our "Join our Mailing List for Site Updates" button from the bottom of the page to the top. Our readers tell us they love seeing these weekly updates. Hopefully, with the button up higher on the page, more fans will be able to sign up and get our updates.

A new line of links at the top of each page. We added a new line of primary links at the top of each page. We now have four lines of links that should be able to take you quickly to anything you want at draglist.com. We added new links for Home, Site Search, Get Email Updates, and Advertising. In addition to these new links, our Racing Chat link now goes to the Drag and Auto Forums and Chat section of the Draglist Links. This gives our readers dozens of options for racing chat with one click.

Recommend It! The new silver button on the left margin allows you to recommend Draglist.com to your friends. October 18, 2000 -- We were down for almost 24 hours from 10/16 to 10/17 afternoon. The server at the hosting service would not reboot. To top it off, they think it was a problem with one of the Microsoft FrontPage files on draglist.com. I think it's time to hit the 'net for reviews of other development tools. Right now, I am looking at a three way tie between HomeSite, Hot Dog Pro, and WebFusion. Anybody have any experience with any of these?

FrontPage does a lot of things right, but too many things wrong. It's quirky as hell, but I've just figured it all out over time... Still, it would be nice not to have to do mental work-arounds. I mean, there is NO WAY anyone else can just pick up and do the stuff I am doing in FrontPage. Hopefully, with something else, Denise can fill in a bit. The search is on!

October 17, 2000 -- We got an update from Bret Kepner last night regarding Bill Kuhlmann's condition. Bill awoke for the first time yesterday. Amazingly, he remembers all the events of last weekend when he suffered a huge fire in his Summit Racing Corvette Nitro Coupe at Virginia Motorsports Park. It looks to be at least another week of hospitalization for Bill. The race car is completely destroyed.

Bill's website (http://www.billkuhlmann.com/) reports that Summit Racing Equipment will not be back on the side of the race car for 2001, so Bill's 2001 plans are up in the air. That's secondary, of course. We are happy to have Bill awake and stable. We will provide periodic updates on his condition.
