John Paris loses it on top end at Englishtown in the late 1980s. His competitor in the other lane was Bobby Lagana in the Twilight Zone Corvette. There was an uneven number of cars, so Vinny Napp asked John to join the fuel show. John lost control and sustained pretty serious injuries, but we are glad to say he recovered some time later and came back to become history’s quickest and fastest Chevy powered funny car (alcohol OR nitro) in 1993.
