FM Funny Car's Russ Parker on a
qualifying run at Las Vegas. Russ qualified the Got Milk car ninth
quickest with a 5.832 sec 243.19 mph run. Parker made it to the semi
final round by knocking off Bob Gallio and then #1 qualifier Larry
Miner. Russ lost to Rod Alexander after hazing the tires from 300'
to the half-track mark, 6.742 sec 181.11 mph to Alexander's quicker
5.867 sec 236.22 mph run.
