Rick McGee and Dale Pulde, yes *that* Dale Pulde, in the shutdown area in Bakersfield, CA, at the 2001 March Meet. This shot was taken Saturday during qualifying. Tuner/crew chief/funny car pilot/consultant and motorcycle entrepreneur Pulde has added Nostalgia T/F pilot to his crowded résumé. Driving for John Eirich's Ground Zero team, he competed at the majority of the west coast nostalgia races this season.
The camera was mounted to the guardrail with a Bogen clamp and triggered by me from the other side of the track using a wireless device. It was shot on Kodak 400 ASA film with a 200mm lens at f8 and a shutter speed of 800th.
