Whit Bazemore won Indy today in Don Schumacher's funny car -- a car that sports some aerodynamic tricks not seen before. Tom West submitted this shot of Don's Plymouth Cuda funny car in 1971. The differences are striking. Here's Tom:

This is one of those blue flame shots. This would have been from the Manufacturers Meet in '71, I think. This is the IFS Buttera chassis, but the body appears to be a bit high. Did something happen to the original body? I can't imagine building the car to sit quite that high. Also, it did not appear to be the best car to see out of either...
