2003 Gasser Reunion at Thompson Drag Raceway

The Hemi-fied machine and many others thrilled Gasser fans at Thompson.

Here are some photos from the Gasser
Reunion at Thompson, Ohio. The first series of photos covers "on track action" at the event and is in chronological order. The ID numbers are those assigned by my camera to the photo files. Those beginning with P0607 are qualifying action from Saturday's session, while those starting with P0608 are (mainly) elimination runs on Sunday June 8. The "exceptions" are the pictures of Rocky and Ken's car on June
8, who were on exhibition passes. This probably doesn't matter to the viewers.
The idea here is just to convey the overall "nostalgic ambience" and
color / drama / excitement of the event. Hope it succeeds at that.
Also included are two dozen shots I took of some of the better-looking cars in competition at the 2003 Gasser Magazine Nostalgia Reunion. I've restricted this to just Gassers. Also have a number of nice altered and dragster pix, but since this is nominally a "Gasser Reunion," I'd rather just feature them. Many of these cars I didn't catch good shots of on the track, so this seems to be one good way to make up for that.
There was a Show-n-Shine Streetrod Display in connection with the 2003 Gasser Reunion, and these are some of the cars participating in that affair. A number of these are local area cruisers, but quite a few out-of-town cars visited too. Some real nice eye candy among these selections I photographed.
