Hats off to Roger "Radar" Lechtenberg and crew towing from Cedar Rapids Iowa. The Midwest "Orange Crate" Top Fuel Dragster once again terrorized the west coast fuelers with Friday's # 1 qualifying pass a 5.91, than on Saturday with a 5.85!
Sunday's eliminations..
Radar lays down a 5.787 with a top end charge of 239.61 in round two, a new VRA record! Lechtenberg would face none other than Jim Murphy in the "WW2" Top Fuel Dragster in the finals. Murphy's 5.97 put an end to Roger's assault when the Crate's "Coast Killer Hemi" went south just past half track.
Congratulations to Jim "Holy smokes" Murphy and crew on their winning performance! Thanks to Goodguys for once again putting on a knock your socks off show!
