The Fermier Bros. Rock Miami!

This shot was taken at the old Miami-Hollywood Drag Strip known as Miami Speedway Park during a division points meet. I understand it is a sub-division now. The photo was taken by Super Stock Magazine in 1967. The car was running high 12.20s at 112 MPH. That shot has my late brother Harry behind the wheel, although we both drove the car -- whoever was the quickest in time trials drove the car in eliminations.
The car always ran nearly on the NHRA record although we never set one. At a points meet at Warner Robbins, Ga. in '65 we ran 12.33 on five record runs and the record was 12.32. How close can you get? One more thing: it always ran a single 4bbl at 385 HP with a 406 CI motor and 3680 lbs. Not bad for a FORD with the old hard 7 inch tires and a 600 CFM Holley carb. Enough said.
