I'll get the youngest out there - he'll sit in there and varoom forever - of course then my belts don't fit me anymore

Hacked at my pan a while... In it's last configuration, it wouldn't come off the engine in the car. I'm planning on frequent bearing checks with this engine, so it's going to come off in the car. I cut the front out and made a nice pattern out of cardboard - it still hits when I pull it down to clear the oil pump - more hacking required...

My new Titan oil pump arrived - it's one massive thing! I hung it off the bottom of the block to check pan clearance and found a small problem - the pickup is an inch off the bottom of the pan... And I gave them the measurements too - guess it'll go back for some adjustments. They sent me the wrong intermediate shaft too - for a 392 distributor when I'm running a small block distributor. A bit of misscommunication there, but we'll get it worked out.

I got a chunk of aluminum formed for the front of the pan. Just have to make a jig to bolt the pan down and it's time for some aluminum welding practice. It's been a while some it may not be too pretty ;)

Figured I'd better go through the heads so I can get them to the machine shop to get freshened up. They had been sitting in the corner and I'd kind of forgotten about them. It's a good thing I remembered - looks like I've got a few bent ones that will need replaced.

I got a new digital camera for xmas. Once I figure out how to use it I can post some pics of the mess I'm making
