Pro streeting my 1966 Ford fairlane

Hi, i have a 66 fairlane with a built 429. I want to prostreet my car, but in the process i want to be able to keep my back seat. I'm curious how big of tubbs or tires i could use. I plan on putting a big blown motor in it and want to hook up. I also plan on running Coil over ladder bar rear suspension. I've spend hours online looking for other projects or info, and having troubles its either all out drag or as big as factory wheel well will allow. Looking for answers.

Mini tubbing is prolly going to be your best course of action for keeping the rear seat intact.(although some "custom" tweaking of the seat may be in order) With that, you should be able to fit a ten to twelve inch tire and wheel combo under the wheel wells.

if you really want the room forget ladder bars and go 4 link and mini tubs as the ladders will need some up and down room and unless you mount them pointed down at the front they aren't going to get the clearance they need

if your doing it yourself makesure the frame is well supported in a minimum of 8 places and level across all planes
